Text Box: What is an RDUCON anyway ?
No itís not some big four wheel monster truck nor is it some location in the cold up north...
RDUCON, short for Raleigh Durham Convention, is a big event opportunity we employ to promote the hobby and art of scale modeling in the Capital surrounding region. Our central location makes us an ideal place for modelers to congregate for a fun filled event.
Text Box: To contact us about RDUCON use the coordinators below:

2011 marks the 30 year anniversary of the Space Shuttle, and 50 years since man first orbited the earth.† It will also mark 70 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as the formation of the 1st black flight school at Tuskegee.† It is the centennial anniversary of the inception of Chevrolet, the first running of the Indy 500, the first aircraft landing on a ship, and the conquest of the South Pole. So many great anniversaries including our own Eagle Squadron model club in its 30th year. We invite you to celebrate these anniversaries with us at RDUCON, home of the 2011 IPMS/USA R12 Regional Convention.

So if you build scale models or are† interested in seeing and learning about historical subjects.† Come out to compete or just to see beautifully crafted scale models such as aircraft, armored vehicles, ships, figures, dioramas,† cars/trucks, space, and science fiction/fantasy subjects.

We hereby invite you to the return of the Capital regionís Largest Scale Modeling event RDUCON. We have over 80 categories and special awards catering to a broad range of subject areas for modelers of junior to more advanced skill levels. Our event is a good place to display your work, pickup models and accessories, swap stories and get tips. Like before a fun raffle and attractive awards. So come on out, bring your models, come see some great scale subjects and have some fun at our event.

As you can imagine to hold such an event costs a lot of money.† Sponsorship, raffle donations, and attendance all play an important part in putting on a great show. We appreciate any and all support from individuals, vendors, manufacturers, organizations, model clubs, and IPMS chapters. Your sponsorship helps us keep registration costs as low as possible while still providing attractive awards.
